There's Always Something Happening at the Ag Grounds!
The Cochrane & District Agricultural Society's South Grounds are home to several amazing facilities, and is definitely the busiest area of CDAS. The South Grounds are home to multiple user groups like the Cochrane Roping Club, Cochrane Search and Rescue, and Extreme Cowboy Alberta. The facilities include a Large Outdoor Riding Arena, a Small Outdoor Riding Arena, an Indoor Riding Arena, a Large Barn with stabling room for up to 100 horses, a Large Plaza and Parking Lot, and the Ranchlands Horse Park.
It is in this area we host the majority of our events like the CDAS Horse Shows, Cochrane Fair, Extreme Cowboy Races, Cochrane Classic Bull Riding, Bow Valley Boot Stomp, the Prairie Girls Vintage Market, Cochrane Food Fest, ABRA Barrel Racing, Calgary Sports Car Club Dirt Cup Rally, various Riding Clinics, and much, much more!
