Acres of Open Ground and Amazing Views!
The Cochrane & District Agricultural Society is the home of equine excellence! Our 'North Grounds' facilities include one of the largest Cross Country Eventing courses in Alberta, a fenced Rally Grounds, and Dressage Arena. These grounds also serve as home base for our user groups the Cochrane Pony Club (CPC), and Cochrane Horse Trials Committee (CHTC).
Throughout the Spring, Summer and Fall, the CPC makes great use of the riding grounds, and their clubhouse hosts training sessions, classes, and ridership to it's members. Every June, the CHTC holds the Cochrane Horse Trials at the Ag Grounds, utilizing all the arenas and the North Grounds for two full days of eventing and dressage!
Not limited to equine events, in the past our North Grounds have even hosted mountain bike races and foot races!
We offer Cross Country Riding Passes, and Coaching Passes on our Riding & Memberships page.
